ANALISIS ENGINE DOES NOT START PADA UNIT KOMATSU PC 1250-8R DI PT KAYAN PUTRA UTAMA COAL

This study is entitled “Anailisis Engine Does Not Start PC 1250-8R at PT kayan Putra Utama Coal”, which aims to analyze electrical system that causing the unit cannot starting. The analysis methods used from shop manual that possible causes
and stardard value in normal state including measuring battery capacity, circuit breaker no 1, 3, and 8, fuse no 8 defective, engine starting switch fault cause internal disconnection, PPC lock switch fault cause internal short circuiting, starting motor cut relay R11 dan R13 that may cause internal disconnection or
short circuit. Based on the result inspecting from shop manual, it was found that the short circuiting starting motor cut relay. The inspection indicating that the short circuiting because motor cut relay never had a periodic service. Lack of maintenance results in components experiencing contamination due to dust, dirt and other materials entering electrical components which can interfere with electrical currents, potentially causing short circuiting which is the unit unable to running.
